5:30 PM - 6:30 PM    8Youth Basketball Teams - 1/2 Team
Registration for grades 1-6 ends 11/18. *Registration for the Kinder and 4 Year Old programs ends 11/18. ---2019-2020 Details:ND Parks & Rec participates in a League with other communities including Wakefield, Milton, Rochester, Barnstead and Farmington. Teams in the League are 1/2, 3/4 & 5/6 teams. These teams will participate in practices during the week and then have games on Saturdays in January through February. 1/2 Games are typically held in New Durham but games for grades 3/4 and 5/6 will be held in other communities and will require families to travel to those locations. The League coordinators will meet mid-November to discuss 2018-2019 season details. Once confirmed, details will be shared with players and their families. We intend to have some practices beginning in December dependent on coach and facility availability.  Rec also hosts a Kindergarten team with a primary focus of teaching basketball fundamentals and the skills to play in a team setting. The Kindergarten team will have one practice each week for 6-8 weeks. The season will begin in January. Rec would also like to offer a basic program for 4 year olds and will do so if a coach is available to run the sessions. The season for a 4 year old team would be one practice per week for 6 weeks. This program will start September 19th.This program is for Students in grades 1-3. It will run once a month for the school year. They will meet the Third Thursday of each month at the Library from 3:30-4:30. Limited spots available.The participants will experience a wide array of crafts, games, stories, exercises, obstacles, and more. Every month will be something different. 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM    Holiday Craft Fair - Craft Fair
Our annual craft fair is scheduled for Saturday, November 23 from 9AM-2PM  at the New Durham Elementary School. This annual fair hosts a myriad of crafters, artisans, local organizations and more showcasing their wares and sharing their missions. While open to the general public, this fair does not accept registrations from vendors selling manufactured products. Only handmade items are to be sold.Registration is only $25 per space with spaces set up primarily in the gymnasium (though overflow into the hallways is possible depending on registration numbers). Registrants are not required to submit a raffle item, however any items collected will be used for the upcoming Senior Celebration to be held in December. From stocking stuffers to lovely holiday gifts to items to decorate your home, there is something for everyone!Additional features of this event include concessions as a fundraiser for a local organization as well as distribution of Wish-Upon-A-Stars by the New Durham Food Pantry. BINGO is run September through July with a break in August.Open to the general public ages 55+. To play a full set of games cost $5. An additional game to benefit the New Durham Food Pantry costs $1 or a canned food item. Winners of this game receive a "Free Game" to be used at a future date. Additional raffles are available.Concessions are are available for purchase by various local groups and residents for fundraising efforts. We encourage our participants to bring a healthy appetite to support these wonderful groups!Additional notes on BINGO:Parking is available in front and behind the school.Smoking is not allowed on school property.Recreation Staff are unable to unlock the front doors of the school during the event. We will do our best to assist those who want to take a break outside during intermission but will not leave the doors propped open.Should BINGO be canceled due to bad weather or other circumstances, the announcement will be posted online, on our phone line and submitted to WMUR as appropriate.

5:30 PM - 7:00 PM    Teen adventure group - Teen adventure group
The teen adventure program will be held at the community room on the first Thursday of each month. Starting in October 3rd at 5:30 to 7pm. This program will offer a wide variety of activities, games, cooking, foosball, darts, trips and more to meet the needs of our group. On the first night we will cook a spaghetti dinner and plan our groups activities.

This program will start October 10th.This program is for students in grades 4th-6th. It will run once a month for the school year.They will meet the second Thursday of every month at the library from 3:30 to 5:00pm. The Participants will experience Challenges from an escape room,  Group Team Challenges to a wide variety of other activities such as crafts, relay race, group games, Science Experiments and a whole lot more. Registration for grades 1-6 ends 11/18. *Registration for the Kinder and 4 Year Old programs ends 11/18. ---2019-2020 Details:ND Parks & Rec participates in a League with other communities including Wakefield, Milton, Rochester, Barnstead and Farmington. Teams in the League are 1/2, 3/4 & 5/6 teams. These teams will participate in practices during the week and then have games on Saturdays in January through February. 1/2 Games are typically held in New Durham but games for grades 3/4 and 5/6 will be held in other communities and will require families to travel to those locations. The League coordinators will meet mid-November to discuss 2018-2019 season details. Once confirmed, details will be shared with players and their families. We intend to have some practices beginning in December dependent on coach and facility availability.  Rec also hosts a Kindergarten team with a primary focus of teaching basketball fundamentals and the skills to play in a team setting. The Kindergarten team will have one practice each week for 6-8 weeks. The season will begin in January. Rec would also like to offer a basic program for 4 year olds and will do so if a coach is available to run the sessions. The season for a 4 year old team would be one practice per week for 6 weeks. The intention would be to provide a very simple team setting environment to introduce the players to the sport and to team work. Families can find additional information on the expectations and guidelines of Recreation sports in the Athletic Mission Statement available below. There will be a $5 discount per each additional registered child. Registrations for the the 2018-2019 season can be completed below. The deadline is November 18 for grades 1-6. You may choose to pay online or to pay offline at the time of check out.
