Games are held at the New Durham Elementary School. Doors open at Noon (with concessions served) and games begin at 1PM. BINGO is run September through July with a break in August.Open to the general public ages 55+. To play a full set of games cost $5. An additional game to benefit the New Durham Food Pantry costs $1 or a canned food item. Winners of this game receive a "Free Game" to be used at a future date. Additional raffles are available.Concessions are are available for purchase by various local groups and residents for fundraising efforts. We encourage our participants to bring a healthy appetite to support these wonderful groups!Additional notes on BINGO:Parking is available in front and behind the school.Smoking is not allowed on school property.Recreation Staff are unable to unlock the front doors of the school during the event. Cribbage is offered on Tuesday afternoons, weekly throughout the year. Games are held at the New Durham Public Library and run 1PM-3PM. The general public is encouraged to stop by and play (or learn!) and it is free to participate.Coffee and light snacks are provided. Donations are welcome.Please note that Cribbage will not run on days when the Library is closed. This includes holidays and school cancellations. Any unexpected cancellations will be shared online, via the Recreation phone (859.5666) and through the Library (859.2201) as appropriate.

Registration for grades 1-6 ends 11/19. *Registration for the Kinder and 4 Year Old programs will go into December. ---2018-2019 Details:ND Parks & Rec participates in a League with other communities including Wakefield, Milton, Rochester, Barnstead and Farmington. Teams in the League are 1/2, 3/4 & 5/6 teams. These teams will participate in practices during the week and then have games on Saturdays in January through February. 1/2 Games are typically held in New Durham but games for grades 3/4 and 5/6 will be held in other communities and will require families to travel to those locations. The League coordinators will meet mid-November to discuss 2018-2019 season details. Once confirmed, details will be shared with players and their families. We intend to have some practices beginning in December dependent on coach and facility availability.  Rec also hosts a Kindergarten team with a primary focus of teaching basketball fundamentals and the skills to play in a team setting. The Kindergarten team will have one practice each week for 6-8 weeks. The season will begin in January. Rec would also like to offer a basic program for 4 year olds and will do so if a coach is available to run the sessions. The season for a 4 year old team would be one practice per week for 6 weeks. The intention would be to provide a very simple team setting environment to introduce the players to the sport and to team work. Families can find additional information on the expectations and guidelines of Recreation sports in the Athletic Mission Statement available below. There will be a $5 discount per each additional registered child. Registrations for the the 2018-2019 season can be completed below. A new year often signifies a new beginning for many of us. We feel a renewed sense of purpose and drive. It is a time to start fresh. Perhaps to become healthier through fitness or diet, to become more organized in our home, to treat ourselves and our families better - there are many possibilities of what new things to try to better your life. Join us on Saturday, January 26 from 3-6PM at the New Durham School to help guide you to a bright and positive 2019!We'll have a wide array of businesses on hand to talk to you about your 2019 goals as well as free workshops you can attend. Details on event and workshop schedule TBA. The new year is here and if you've hit some stumbling blocks in your resolutions you may be discouraged but you don't have to be. Every new day is another chance to get on track and sometimes all you need is a little encouragement. Interested in being a vendor or representing your business at our event? Cribbage is offered on Tuesday afternoons, weekly throughout the year. Games are held at the New Durham Public Library and run 1PM-3PM. The general public is encouraged to stop by and play (or learn!) and it is free to participate.Coffee and light snacks are provided. Donations are welcome.Please note that Cribbage will not run on days when the Library is closed. This includes holidays and school cancellations. Any unexpected cancellations will be shared online, via the Recreation phone (859.5666) and through the Library (859.2201) as appropriate.

Registration for grades 1-6 ends 11/19. *Registration for the Kinder and 4 Year Old programs will go into December. ---2018-2019 Details:ND Parks & Rec participates in a League with other communities including Wakefield, Milton, Rochester, Barnstead and Farmington. Teams in the League are 1/2, 3/4 & 5/6 teams. These teams will participate in practices during the week and then have games on Saturdays in January through February. 1/2 Games are typically held in New Durham but games for grades 3/4 and 5/6 will be held in other communities and will require families to travel to those locations. The League coordinators will meet mid-November to discuss 2018-2019 season details. Once confirmed, details will be shared with players and their families. We intend to have some practices beginning in December dependent on coach and facility availability.  Rec also hosts a Kindergarten team with a primary focus of teaching basketball fundamentals and the skills to play in a team setting. The Kindergarten team will have one practice each week for 6-8 weeks. The season will begin in January. Rec would also like to offer a basic program for 4 year olds and will do so if a coach is available to run the sessions. The season for a 4 year old team would be one practice per week for 6 weeks. The intention would be to provide a very simple team setting environment to introduce the players to the sport and to team work. Families can find additional information on the expectations and guidelines of Recreation sports in the Athletic Mission Statement available below. There will be a $5 discount per each additional registered child. Registrations for the the 2018-2019 season can be completed below. Games are held at the New Durham Elementary School. Doors open at Noon (with concessions served) and games begin at 1PM. BINGO is run September through July with a break in August.Open to the general public ages 55+. To play a full set of games cost $5. An additional game to benefit the New Durham Food Pantry costs $1 or a canned food item. Winners of this game receive a "Free Game" to be used at a future date. Additional raffles are available.Concessions are are available for purchase by various local groups and residents for fundraising efforts. We encourage our participants to bring a healthy appetite to support these wonderful groups!Additional notes on BINGO:Parking is available in front and behind the school.Smoking is not allowed on school property.Recreation Staff are unable to unlock the front doors of the school during the event.
